On Dec 7th another £2,200 was sent out to South Africa. Of that £1,200 went to the Thandukuphola Centre to help with school fees and any other area of need.
R1000 went out to Frans Ballack of Hope Project. Of that £300 was donated specifically for medecines and the rest as a general donation. In the new year Frans will notify One Life in which area the money was spent.
In an email I received this morning (December 14th) Frans told me of a 10 year girl he has just come upon who has never been in school due to poverty and also a most disfiguring skin disease. She is now, due to Fran's intervention, receiving long term treatment for the skin disease and has also been given the life saving drug Oxygel.
Frans has now been able to purchase a school uniform and enrol her in school for the very first time.
Frans also went on to say that 1.300 Africans are dying daily from AIDS and so the number of orphans also grows daily. Our continued help is invaluable.
