Africa News

On the 23rd of February I returned to the U.K from my trip to S. Africa. It was a very worthwhile trip and I was able to visit and see the renovation of the new feeding centre connected to Nancy and the Thandukuphila Centre. Sadly because of inadequate funding the feeding centre was unable to open at the end of January as previously hoped for. We need a further £1,500 to complete the centre this includes providing a creche for children as yet too young to go to school and also for two flushing toilets. To open the centre now to begin the all important feeding of the orphans as little as £500 to £600
would be enough with a view to completion at a later date.

With Frans Ballack I was able to collect and transport food to the various feeding centres and to meet the children themselves. I was also priviledged to be able to venture into many rundown shacks and meet the sick and sometimes dying adults who lived there.
Some aged grandparents or sick relative look after as many as 17 orphans and without Frans Ballack and the feeding centres these adults/children would not survive.

I have many photos which I brought back with me from S. Africa but I need my son Graham to place them on this website. At the moment he is moving house and unable to help me so please keep visiting the site and I will get more news of Africa with the photos
onto the site as quickly as possible.
