An Appeal For Donations Towards Medication Help

I  feel sure you have all heard of Nancy (The Project Manager) in South Africa who I work with from over here by enhancing the children’s lives in any way we can from education, food, sleeping bags, burials, and now, when financially possible, by having 2 room breeze block houses built to replace the worst broken down shacks. Well Nancy has not been well for quite a while now with diabetes and associated illnesses of a spinal tumour and kidney failure. She also suffers from chronic neuropathy and is in constant severe pain in her feet and hands to a point where she says in a letter to a friend of mine, who has helped her financially with funding for medication to prevent this spreading throughout her body, that she knows no difference now between day and night due to the severity of the pain preventing sleep. She can no longer walk but when not in hospital gets around in a wheel chair.

My friend is no longer able to support Nancy with her medication and that is why I am making this appeal. If we can get enough funding to pay for this medication and prevent the neuropathy spreading throughout her body that would be wonderful. She is an incredibly dedicated lady who no matter how bad her health is,with the help of 3 unpaid volunteers and her daughter Khanya, continues her invaluable work with the children.

Please, but only if really possible without hardship to yourselves, could you help me prevent Nancy becoming more infirm and in pain than she already is. No donation is too small and would be so very much appreciated by Nancy and myself. I know Nancy well and if I can possibly get help for her, which she so deserves, that would be wonderful.

I was trying again this year not to make financial appeals but in Nancy's case I have no other way of helping her. Thank you all so much for hearing me out.
