A fun day for the children in Kwazulu.
When I phoned Nancy and Khanya in Africa to wish them and all their family A Happy Christmas I heard about an Indian couple who happened to come across Nancy and the children in the garage. They approached Nancy and asked about what she was doing so Nancy explained about the children and what she was trying to do for them.
A few days later, just before Christmas, this couple turned up at the garage with an amazing amount of food and sweets for everyone and bouncy castles for the children and face paints. Apparently the children were so happy and excited and instead of just having one plate of food they could eat food all day long when they wanted it and enjoy a rare day filled with fun and laughter.
What a miraculous thing to happen for these children and so unexpected.
I was very moved by this story and I hope this couple realise what a wonderful and memorable thing they did for these orphans and also for Nancy and her family.
In the same phone call I heard that Khanya has a badly dislocated kneecap and her leg is in plaster and will be for the next three weeks.
We wish Nancy, Khanya and all their extended family A Very Healthy and Happy New Year from all of us here.
