Funding For The Repair Of Shacks On It's Way To Africa
Today, February 5th February, £1000 has been transferred to the account held in Kwazulu, South Africa.
Six hundred pounds of this money was donated specifically for shack repair and I have been in a position to raise this amount to £1,000 so as to be able to repair even more shacks.
The shacks need to be repaired properly not just patched up OR as when the next floods or heavy rains arrive the shacks wills just collapse again totally or become very damaged and no longer waterproof.
The six hundred pounds donated specifically for these repairs will repair six shacks so I sent the extra money so we can repair at least ten instead.
Nancy, our African Project Manager is very happy to receive this funding as she was very worried about the children and their carers when they were once again hit by flooding as so often happens lately.
Nancy's own home suffered yesterday from flooding so I am hoping there is enough funding to also repair Nancy's house.
