Fundraising from Coedcae School, Llanelli

During Autumn 2004 the members of the Peace Mala Club with some of the teachers at Coedcae School decided they would organise various fundraising events for One Life. They worked enthusiastically throughout the term and including money for Peace Mala bracelets for the Kwazulu orphans who are now head of their families since the death of their parents, they raised £700, a phenominal amount.

Events included the cookery class, cooking three course lunches for the staff at £6 per head, a Search for a Star talent contest and many others. In January I went to Wales to the school and spent an inspiring morning there with various classes of pupils where I talked and answered questions ablout the Kwazulu orphans and the difference in their lives to the lives of these pupils. At lunch time I was presented with a cheque for £650 and the Peace Malas which I took out with me to South Africa in February.
