Funds urgently needed.

Today April 2nd I would like to ask if anyone can help with any size of donation as we desperately need more funds right now.

We are having to move from the old Thandukuphila Centre where we have been based for the last seven years into a church hall near Nancy's home. This has come about because of the corruption of the Welfare Dept who gave us the use of the centre when it was a very broken down unused African clinic..

Over the years we have built up and repaired the centre and it has been the haven for the children before and after school for meals and a place of safety for the little ones not yet old enough for us to put in school. It was also used as a drop in centre by anyone who need counselling, a meal or just somewhere to go - A safe haven.

The Welfare Dept have been trying to take back the centre for the last two years and Nancy has received many threats and an actual shooting episode in her home causing pain and much stress to all the family.

The Welfare Dept have now taken over the centre and Nancy wishes to start up again in a church hall so once again we have to build up a place for the children to come to where they are safe, can receive meals and generally have someone to turn to and somewhere to go to do their homework and to receive counselling as parents, grandparents or siblings die of AIDS.

To start up in again in the church hall means £50 per month rental and approx £4000 as we have to set up a kitchen with cooker, water heater, pans, pots, plates, large fridge and freezer etc. We need tables and chairs both full size for the older children and small for the creche children, carpeting for the floors, activities for the crèche children, cots for the babies and bedding , nappies, baby food etc etc. It is daunting to start again but that is our aim so that is why we desperately need any help you could give.

No donation is too small so please help if you can, one hundred percent of any donation goes right to where it is needed and right now it is urgently and quickly needed.

If you could buy one small plastic chair for a crèche child to sit on that would be wonderful. We will not give up but strive to continue supporting Nancy with the wonderful selfless work she does for the children. Please, you help us too, Thank you.
