Goods arrived in South Africa
Today, 18th November, the shipment of goods sent out by DHL Courier for the children we sponsor, at long last reached Richards Bay.
This EXPRESS shipment has taken over three weeks to arrive and has cost us an extra £140 making the total of shipment and customs charges £310. This is terrible for my small charity and I will never send goods out by courier again. Luckily we were given a donation of £200 for the shipment and another £100 also for postage and it was this that made this shipment possible.
Usually goods are sent out to Africa through Royal Mail and this is the way any future goods will be sent. I am, though, relieved that the goods have eventually arrived as it has been a most stressful time from beginning to end.
