Money sent out to South Africa.

I phoned South Africa this morning and spoke to Nancy of the Thandukuphila Centre who told me that they were really struggling at the moment financially. The Welfare Department who are supposed to donate money in order to feed the crèche children and the children who come before and after school to the centre for food had failed to do so. This happens regularly and is a great source of stress for Nancy.

A recent hailstorm with hailstones the size of small bricks has completely undone the work recently undergone to repair some of the shacks. Now repairs have to start over again plus repairs to other shacks which after the bad storm are now also in need of repair.
I wish a miracle would happen and someone would donate a large amount of money so we could keep up with all these unforeseen emergencies which keep arising.

I did, this morning, the 19th May send out £1,000 which is part of the money I am holding in the charity for emergencies. I hope that in some small way this will be of help. It is far from being enough but until the sponsored walk in September I have no other means of raising a substantial sum of money. I pray that we get a good response and lots of support for the sponsored walk.
