Today, August 6th, I heard from Khanya in South Africa.

Her mum Nancy has had her operation, a few days ago, for the lump on her spine. It was a tumour and had been pressing on the spinal discs (hence the severe pain which Nancy was in) and sadly has damaged some of the discs. Because of this it is thought that Nancy will now have to spend up to a year in a wheelchair.

Within the next couple of days I will be sending funding to Africa so that Nancy can purchase the much needed wheelchair.

Nancy will continue with the work with the children as she will have the support of her daughter Khanya, her husband and her son plus the invaluable help of two volunteers.
