News re the burial of the children

Today the 4th March I received a phone call from a Dr Patel. he is the father of Dr Sanjay Patel who was out in South Africa at the same time as myself three years ago and who I took to meet Nancy and Khanya and the children who we help.

Dr Patel came on the sponsored walk last year and he and his wife raised £1,500 for One Life. He phoned me today and he said that if I can find out the approximate amount it will cost to bury the five children who died in the tragic accident a couple of weeks ago he will then do his best to help us get the money together.

This such a wonderful gesture and I am very grateful to him for once again coming forward to help in a time of great need.

Otherwise since the appeal I put out a couple of evening ago, we have almost £1,000 already raised. This is wonderful and so are the people who have immediately come forward to help. My grateful thanks go to them all.
