No visit from Khanya
I feel really sad to write this but Khanya the daughter of Nancy who runs The Thandukuphila centre in Kwazulu is unable to get a visa for her trip to England. She was due to arrive on September the 16th but the visa office have lost her visa application and because of the kind of flight we booked the ticket already booked and paid for cannot be changed or postponed to another time. This is devastating news for both for myself and Khanya who was so excited to be having a trip to London.
The visa office are unable to process a new visa application form in the time left before Khanya's flight to UK.
I funded the trip for Khanya's tickets myself plus paying for the visa and the insurance but will be unable to do this again another year having to depend on my pension. This is such a disappointment for us both.
The charity too would have benefited greatly at having Khanya over here for a short while, someone directly connected to the children we sponsor in Kwazulu, Natal.
What a shame that this has happened.
