Result of the South Africa appeal

The final total of the money quickly raised for the purchase of bats and balls etc to be purchased on my arrival in South Africa came to a wonderful £700 . This was shared between Nancy at the Thandukuphila Centre and Frans Ballack of Hope Project. Nancy will purchase much needed equipment needed in the youth centre which she wishes to open shortly and educational toys for the younger children. I went with Sr Emmanuel and purchased a large number of good footballs, netballs, Slazenger cricket sets and skipping rope for the children who come daily to the feeding centresconnected to Frans Ballock of Hope Project. The remainder of the money will be used for medecines eg Oxycell which boosts the immune system of HIV/AIDS children and for disinfectant sprays which help with the children's head and body sores and open cuts and wounds, even in the keeping free from infection amputated limbs.

I did bring back photos with me of the children playing cricket and receiving some of the footballs and netballs etc but I need my son Graham to place these on this website and at the moment he is in the process of moving house so is unable to help me. Please keep visiting the website and I will get the photos onto the site as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who supported this appeal.
