Sickness for one of our sponsored children.

One of our sponsored children has been battling the AIDS Virus for a number of years.

When I first met her she was quite ill but then she was given the ARV drug treatment which had a remarkable effect on her. She wrote, very happily and excitedly that since the treatment she could run and play like her friends and she was so happy.

This lasted about one year then a couple of days ago, Feb19th I heard that she had been in hospital, very ill with the development of AIDS and then the hospital sent her home to her Grandma saying they could do no more for her and that she would be better at home. Her grandmother says she is crying day and night as she is in terrible pain . Her Grandmother, Nancy, Khanya, myself and her sponsor are deeply saddened at this news and feel helpless to help her. Please keep her in your prayers. Her name is Nondumosa Khosa, she is 14 years old and one of 13 children looked after by the Grandmother.

Whilst in S Africa a few years ago I went on the AIDS wards at one of the local hospitals and I was shocked and deeply affected at how AIDS affects the body as it progresses so to hear that Nondumosa is suffering so much and that nothing more can be done is heart breaking.

I hope and pray that she will find some relief from this terrible illness that is taking her life before she has even started to live it.
