A tragedy in South Africa.
On arriving back from my trip to Birmingham on February 9th I found, amongst the many emails waiting for me, one from Khanya, Nancy's daughter in South Africa.
I was shocked and devastated by what she had to say, apparently six of our young children were playing together in the squatters camp when a house fell down on top of them killing all six.
I was so totally shocked and devastated by this terrible news and found it extremely difficult to then have to contact their sponsors and tell them what had happened to the child they sponsor.
Please keep the families of these children in your thoughts and prayers. I am trying to raise money now to go with money already donated for the repair of as many broken down shacks and dwelling places as we can afford to do. This is a terrible tragic happening but not the first as not long ago a roof fell on top of two young brothers killing one and badly injuring the other.
It is summer in South Africa right now and a good time to carry out the repair work before the bad weather sets in again.
Donations towards the repair of the shacks woukld be very welcome and can be paid through pay pal or by cheque.
