Unexpected donation of £700

We have received an unexpected donation of £700
Sakhile one of our young men orphaned by Aids in S Africa will be going into his third year at College/Uni in January. Because of his excellent school grades and his hard work he has been receiving a part grant for his education and food/board, the remainder of his fees have been paid by a sponsor here in England.

Due to his continuing hard work, perseverence and good results he has now been granted a full scholarship which is wonderful. What more reward could any sponsor have than to see the young person they have sponsored and given a chance in life work hard and achieve so much that they will in the future be able to support themselves and their siblings and give back to the community which they come from.

The sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous had already given the charity the £700 due for Sakhile's next year's fees but he has declined my offer to refund him by cheque and has requested that One Life keep the money and use it towards the many needs which the orphans have.

This is a wonderful gesture and I suggested to the sponsor that a part of the money go to help Sakhile's siblings in whatever way they need our help right now.

We are indeed blessed with all the loving support and help we receive, some like this, quite unexpectedly.
