Update on the Sponsored Walk

Today, September 25th, we held the charity's Annual Sponsored Walk in the city of London.

We met at the coffee shop in Trafalgar Square where we could greet old friends over a delicious cappuccino. We then walked down Horse Guards Parade into St James Park where we did the walk around the lake. It was a most glorious day with warm autumn sunshine which enhanced the beauty of the park. After two and a half laps we stopped for lunch sitting in a big circle some of us in deck chairs and others on the grass. It was a lovely break, all together, just enjoying the day and each other. We then finished the four laps and separated each going our separate ways having enjoyed a lovely day raising money for the children in Kwazulu, South Africa. My grateful thanks go to everyone who joined the walk, the regular walkers and the six new people who were with us for the very first time and hopefully will join us next year..
