Funds to South Africa
I have just recieved news from Frans Ballack of Hope Project in Kwazulu. He said the winter there for the orphans living in the rural remote ares is very bad this year and there is another urgent need for blankets. We also supplied blankets last year but sadly there was not enough for all the children. On Friday last (30th June) I sent out £1,000 to Hope Project for the purchase of these items.
Yesterday I received the quarterly report from Nancy at the Thandukuphila Centre where she stated that the new satellite feeding centre is still incomplete due to lack of funding and that the new children now connected to this centre are very poor and in need of jerseys and shoes, uniform and food so on Monday next I am sending £1,300 out to Nancy to help provide these items for the children.
Also on Monday I am sending £1,000 to Sr Emmanuel for our emergency fund which is used for food, clothing, housing and education of children not attached to the Thandukuphila Centre or Hope Project.
The money being raised from the sponsored walk has been very useful in all these areas of need.
