Unexpected donation
Posted 9th May 2008
On my return from South Africa I received an unexpected cheque for £518 from Thames Wharf Charity. This came as a wonderful surprise and will add to the monies to be sent out to S. Africa shortly.
We need to provide the basic essentials for better living conditions.Electricity is essential for the African shacks as so many children are burnt due to candles being knocked over. Many children become sick due to inhaling paraffin fumes, this is used for cooking so gas cylinders are a much better option. Also many people need mattresses and blankets to prepare for the coming winter.
All donated money no matter how small will be gratefully received.
