News from S Africa

Yesterday 7th June I received an email from Nancy's daughter Khanya in South Africa. Apparantly Nancy and Khanya have been quite poorly with a bad flu. It was thought that Khanya may have contracted TB (Which is rife there) but luckily the tests came back clear. Nancy who is diabetic and has trouble walking due to severe nerve end damage has now got huge very painful blisters on her feet and is finding walking very painful. She is also waiting for the results of the latest investigation as to why this is happening and what can be done to relieve her pain.

Please remember Nancy in your thoughts and prayers and all the children in South Africa, many who are battling AIDS, TB and related illnesses.

Khanya is still waiting to receive the visa for her planned visit to the UK in September. This is taking a long time to be processed. I have heard that it can be quite difficult for Africa citizens to receive the visa for entry into the UK so we are both praying that all goes well and that she can indeed fly to England on September 16th for a fortnights holiday as planned.
