Fund Raise at St Anne's

Tomorrow December 6th in St Anne's in the church hall a fund raise will be held from noon. The intention of this event is to raise money towards an air ticket to bring Khanya over for two weeks in May. Khanya is the daughter of Nancy Khuzwayo the project manager of the Thandukuphila Centre in Kwazulu, South Africa.

As I cannot return to S Africa in the near future it will be very beneficial to bring Khanya over here and if we get the visa for her visit then the idea is to bring Nancy (Thandukuphila's Project Manager) over here in 2011. This will be very beneficial for One Life to have people here to talk about how it really is for the children out there etc and what it means for them to have people sponsoring them for their education and their many other needs.

Quite a lot of people have bought tickets for the fund raise and it should be a very enjoyable pre-Christmas event.

This event will start with a light lunch, followed by singing Christmas carols , the piano having being brought into the church hall. We will then enjoy some light entertainment by volunteers who will sing or read poetry or show whatever talents they have. After that Father Christmas will make an appearance for the children and we will finish with a cream tea.

A raffle will also be held and hand made greeting cards will be for sale along with African bracelets and Peace Mala bracelets.
