Visa Appeal
On the 2nd February I received a letter from The Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP to say that he was sorry but had just heard from Phil Woolas of the Home Office that our last visa appeal to bring Khanya to England for a two week visit has once again been turned down with a request for Khanya to reapply again
The trustees have decided that it would not be in the best interests of the charity to reapply for a fourth time nor for the emotional state of Khanya herself as each refusal is a devastation for her..
I did write to The Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP to thank him for his help and to express how I felt and what effect a further refusal has had on the charity and on Khanya and he replied and said he agrees with my comments so has written to the Home Office expressing my comments and feelings.
Whatever I do the border control will find some reason to refuse Khanya entry to the UK and each application from the South African side costs almost £100 and as I have already lost £1000 of my own money trying to bring Khanya here I feel it is time to let go and just accept that she won't be coming and trust that one day things may be different and she will be allowed to visit.
