Today,1st August, I heard from Khanya who is still trying to recover from a lung infection following pneumonia.

Nancy too is unwell and has been for over a month now with kidneys problems related to diabetes and a very high blood sugar count which will not come down. Tomorrow, August 2nd, she is having an operation to remove a lump from her back. the lump came after an injection and Nancy is in terrible pain.

It seems so unfair that Nancy and Khanya, who spend their lives helping the children in need have themselves to undergo so much sickness and suffering.

Khanya went on to tell me that they had terrible snow storms and gales last week and a tree came crashing down onto one of the shacks, killing a small boy and badly injuring his young brother who is now in hospital fighting for his life.

Please let us keep this family, all the other children and carers and, of course, Nancy and Khanya in your prayers.
