Thames Wharf Charity again

Yesterday 6th June I received another unexpected cheque from Thames Wharf Charity for the same amount as last month, £518. This came as a wonderful surprise and is received with grateful thanks.

On my return from South Africa I received an unexpected cheque for £518 from Thames Wharf Charity. This came as a wonderful surprise and will add to the monies to be sent out to S. Africa shortly.

Back from Africa

Our trip to S Africa sadly came to it's end last Tuesday and Gwen Cass who came with me and myself arrived back in England on Wednesday 30th April. Since arriving back I have been very tired, probably the flight and the totally different climate and life style.

I leave for South Africa next Thursday, April 3rd. I have a friend, Gwen Cass, a good supporter of One Life, coming with me which is wonderfully supportive for me. It will be her first trip to Africa and we are both feeling very excited now as the date of our departure draws near.

Grants for the carers of the children we sponsor/school leavers and new children for sponsoring.

I have just received notification from the Thankdukuphila Centre that some of the carers of the children we sponsor out in South Africa have just received a grant for the care of the children.
