Donation from the Guides of St Anne's Parish Church

Last Thursday evening 6th March the guides of St Anne's Parish Church held a fashion show on behalf of One Life. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the enthusiasm of the girls who later presented me with £50 for the charity.

Donation from Rowe Sports

A wonderful donation of eight football strips was received from Rowe Sports, South Chingford on Tuesday 19th February. Twenty pairs of football socks were also donated.

These goods will be taken with me to S Africa in April. This is a very generous donation and will bring joy to many of our older orphans.

Funding sent out to South Africa

On February 12th £3,600 was sent out to South Africa. Of that £2,000 went to the Thandukuphila Centre for the repair of shacks, for blankets and goods needed for the two creches and for the six new babies cared for at the centre.

The final total of the amount raised on February 2nd is £1,586.

This is a wonderful amount. My grateful thanks to everyone concerned but especially to Penny and David Rolfe.

The Ploughman's Supper/Fund Raise Event held in St Anne's Church Hall yesterday evening, February 2nd, raised a magnificent £1,520. Of this £1,270 will go to the Shack Repair fund and the remaining £250 will go into the Higher Education Fund.
