Donation to One Life

Yesterday I received an unexpected donation of £5000 for the charity. The donor stated the wish to remain anonymous.

This is a wonderful amount and I will soon be in contact with Nancy of the Thandukuphila Centre to discuss where the money will be best spent.

Church donation

Today, 11th February I received a cheque for the sum of £200 from the Downham Parochial Church council.It is part of a collection taken over the Christmas period.

Our sincere thanks go to the council and to Marilyn Overton who put the charities name forward for this award.

Unexpected donation

Today, 30th January, I received through the post a cheque for £100 from an EV Veckranges, a South African lady who heard of me from a Miss Christine Foster who came across One Life last year through a newspaper article.

La Rochelle Marathon results.

Yesterday 27th January I received a cheque for £334.25 from David Williams in South Wales. This was raised by him and his friend John Selby by taking part in the La Rochelle Marathon held in France in November last year.

Talk given at St Anne's Women's Fellowship Group

I gave a talk last night, 23rd January, in ST Anne's church hall for the Women's Evening Fellowship Group.

This was a very enjoyable event with lots of interest and questions from the members.

At the end of the evening £65 was donated to One Life for the children we support in Kwazulu, Natal.
