No visit from Khanya

I feel really sad to write this but Khanya the daughter of Nancy who runs The Thandukuphila centre in Kwazulu is unable to get a visa for her trip to England.

Another unexpected donation

Today August 14th I have received yet another unexpected donation from Christine Foster of Walthamstow. This donation is to go towards the sponsored walk and is for £250, a wonderful donation.

My sincere thanks to Christine for her support of One Life and her caring and concern for the plight of the children of Kwazulu, South Africa..

Money to Africa

Today 13th August I am sending £1,110 out to Nancy of the Thandukuphila Centre. £10 of this is a donation to Nancy herself from Jeanette James of Wales and a small part of the money is for soccer boots for one of the AIDS orphans who is unable to play for the team he has been chosen for if he cannot have a pair of real soccer boots.

Unexpected donation

Today 12th August I received a donation of £764 from The Thames Wharf Charity.

This is a wonderful and unexpected donation for which I am very grateful.

My thanks go to Mark Hallet who was the instigator of this donation. Thank you so much Mark for your continued support and thanks to all at The Thames Wharf Charity.

Fund Raise at St Anne's Church

Today 19th July was St Anne's Church fun day. Despite the mixed weather and a few light showers we managed to have the morning service out of doors, which was lovely.

After the service handmade greeting cards and bracelets were sold and Penny and David Rolfe held a Tombola all on behalf of One Life.
