Yesterday evening Sanjay Patel (Paediatrician) and his fiance came for dinner. This was their last evening in the UK as they fly out this evening (28th September) to Durban, Kwazulu, Natal then onto Pietermaritzburg where they will both work in local hospitals.

Funding to South Africa

The £1,000 sent out to Hope Project on 30th June never arrived and eventually it was discovered that it never left Enland, a bank error. This sum of money has now been resent and hopefully will arrive shortly.

£800 has also been sent out to Hope Project for medecines and this too should arrive any day now.

Rosie Faupel and a Car Boot Sale

Rosie Faupel who joined us from Suffolk on June 10th for the sponsored walk and who raised approx £200 for One Life phoned a couple of evenings ago to say that this weekend , weather permitting, she will be holding a car boot sale the proceeds to come to One Life.

Yesterday morning 21st August Mr Sanjay Patel a paediatrician at Whipps Cross Hospital came to visit to find out more about One Life and the African Projects we are involved in.

Final Sponsored Walk amount.

The final amount received for the Sponsored Walk on June the 10th is £2,674.

This is an amazing amount and has been the encouragement needed to seriously consider another sponsored walk for next year 2007.
