Wonderful Fund Raise result.

Yesterday evening,15th January 2011, our Fund Raise event held in St Anne's Church hall, in aid of One Life, raised a wonderful £1,020 for the charity.

This was an unexpected and exceptional amount which resulted from a very enjoyable evening with the very talented Cantando Chorale, a three course meal, raffle and small sale of goods.

Result of Sponsored Slimathon

Today, January 15th, I received a cheque for £112.50p from Rosemary Faupel on behalf of her daughter Sarah who very kindly organised a sponsored slimathon for herself, to finish at Christmas, and pledged all monies raised to One Life.

Donation for fund raise of January 15th 2011

On January 13th John and Karen Walker donated £50 in support of the fund raise event taking place on Saturday the 15th down at St Anne's.

My thanks go to John and Karen for their ongoing support.

Two surprise donations

Today, the 2nd January, a brand new year, I received two donations from members of St Anne's Church.

Lily Burnett donated £20 in support of One Life and Penny and David Rolfe donated a cheque for £100. Penny's Family decided not to give gifts at Christmas but instead to donate money to charity and Penny and David chose my charity.

When I phoned Nancy and Khanya in Africa to wish them and all their family A Happy Christmas I heard about an Indian couple who happened to come across Nancy and the children in the garage. They approached Nancy and asked about what she was doing so Nancy explained about the children and what she was trying to do for them.
