Last Sunday, the 7th March, Jenny Harwood celebrated her 65th birthday down at St Anne's Parish Church after the morning service. She asked for donations for charity instead of presents and received £150 which she divided equally between One Life and two other charities.
I am delighted to have received in January a Gift Aid payment of £3826.24. It is such a relief to know that around the beginning of each year I can claim Gift Aid on behalf of One Life.
This amount makes such a big difference to my small charity and does much to releive the suffering of the AIDS orphans in Kwazulu, Natal.
Today, 5th March, I received two unexpected donations. I received £25 from Christine Stead who lives in Yorkshire and £50 from Hazel Wagthorn who lives in Essex. I also received in January a £20 Pay Pal donation from Rashna Walton.
