Storm devestation for families and two schools in Nseleni.

As hailstones and heavy rains have hit Nseleni during the past couple of months, I have, by email, been kept up to date on the affect of this. Yesterday I heard that some of the children's homes have been badly affected by the latest storms (even though they are experiencing terrible heat right now and more than likely because of it.)

Sickness for one of our sponsored children.

One of our sponsored children has been battling the AIDS Virus for a number of years.

When I first met her she was quite ill but then she was given the ARV drug treatment which had a remarkable effect on her. She wrote, very happily and excitedly that since the treatment she could run and play like her friends and she was so happy.

Unexpected donation

On Feb 5th I received a very welcome and unexpected donation of £50 from Larkswood Primary School. My thanks go to Megan Pipe my young next door neighbour whole apparently put the name of One Life forward when raised funds at the school were to be shared out and donated between various chosen charities.

Funding desperately needed

Funding is desperately needed to repair and alter a very large building donated to Nancy by the Nkosa (Zulu chief) so that she can safely move in with the children without the constant hassle she has had over the last few years resulting in corruption and court orders and Nancy being ousted out of the Thandukuphila Centre.

Visa Appeal

On the 2nd February I received a letter from The Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP to say that he was sorry but had just heard from Phil Woolas of the Home Office that our last visa appeal to bring Khanya to England for a two week visit has once again been turned down with a request for Khanya to reapply again
