Fund Raise at St Anne's

Tomorrow December 6th in St Anne's in the church hall a fund raise will be held from noon. The intention of this event is to raise money towards an air ticket to bring Khanya over for two weeks in May. Khanya is the daughter of Nancy Khuzwayo the project manager of the Thandukuphila Centre in Kwazulu, South Africa.

Result of visa appeal for Khanya

On November10th I heard from The House of Commons that that the visa appeal for Khanya's entry into the UK has been turned down again for lack of supporting evidence as to my means of supporting her and also her connection with One Life.

Fund Raise event at St Anne's.

This morning, Sunday November the 8th, after the 10am service at St Anne's Penny and David Rolfe and myself held a small fund-raising event with the sale of Hand Made greeting cards and Christmas cards and other bits and pieces.

Reply from the House of Commons re Khanya

On Tuesday 27th October I received a reply from the Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP who is based in The House of Commons re Khanya's visa refusal. I was relieved and impressed at the speed in which this matter was taken up and referred to the appropriate person and I feel more hopeful that something positive may now happen.

Amount raised from Sponsored Walk.

We have just received the last of the Sponsored Walk money and I am delighted to say we have in total raised a wonderful £2,132.

My grateful thanks go to all who took part in the walk and all those who so generously sponsored us.
