Sponsored Walk

Yesterday 26th September we held the One Life Annual Sponsored Walk starting off from Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square down the Mall to Buckingham Palace then left into St James's Park where we completed four circuits of the park stopping to admire a pelican who obviously thrives on admiration and attention from the public.

Margaret Halford from St Anne's Church sent an unexpected donation of £100 for the sponsored walk and Anna Barnard sent the same amount a short while ago. I have also received three donations of £50 and many of £20, £10 and £5.

At the moment I have raised £925 and wish to thank everyone concerned for their generosity

A change to the date Of Khanya's arrival in UK

The date of Khanya's arrival in the UK has been changed from November 15th to November 24th and her date of departure back to South Africa is now December 7th.

Annual Sponsored Walk 2009

One Life's annual sponsored walk is to be held on September 26th at 11am. We are meeting under Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square, walking down The Mall towards Buckingham Palace then turning left into St James's Park and doing four laps of the park approx three and a half to four miles in all.

Possible visit from Khanya in November this year.

After many phone calls to South Africa to the travel agent and airways I have now managed to upgrade Khanya's tickety to November 15th so hopefully now the visa office will get the new visa application form processed in time.
