Larkswood School sponsor a Kwazulu orphan's education

I was invited to an assembly at Larkswood Primary School, South Chingford earlier this month (May). Whilst there I was presented with a cheque to pay for the schooling and uniform for the coming year for 5 year old Sibongile Thango, a little girl I met at the Thandukuphila Centre on my trip to South Africa earlier this year.

The Sponsored Walk

On Saturday May 12th One Life held it's annual sponsored walk. Despite the weather forecast the rain held off until,mid afternoon and even became warm and sunny for a short period in the morning.

Funding to South Africa

£1000 has just been sent out to The Thandukuphila Centre, Nseleni. This will be used for basic shack repairs eg a new doors, flooring, window repairs etc

Saints and Sinners Charity Fund Riase

On Saturday evening 14th April Saints and Sinners Organisation raised £500 for the educational needs for the next ten years of five year old Gcina Khuzwayo. Gcina is attached to The Thandukuphila Centre, Nseleni managed by Nancy Khuzwayo.

St Anne's Ploughman's Supper / Charity Auction Fund Raise

On Friday evening the 13th April Penny and David Rolfe and Barbara and Paul Carter and their helpers organised and held The Ploughman's Supper / Auction in aid of One Life.
