Unexpected Donation

On arrival back from a short break in Cornwall on February 23rd, I was delighted to receive a cheque for £100 from Mrs E Veckranges.

I have never met Mrs Veckranges but I know she lives in Walthamstow and I am very grateful to her.

Another Shack Fire

Today, 5th February, I have just received an email telling me that another shack has just burnt to the ground. The carer grandmother and neighbours who were trying to help have all been rushed to hospital. The seven children concerned have been taken in by Nancy bringing her household to 20.

Funding For The Repair Of Shacks On It's Way To Africa

Today, February 5th February, £1000 has been transferred to the account held in Kwazulu, South Africa.

Six hundred pounds of this money was donated specifically for shack repair and I have been in a position to raise this amount to £1,000 so as to be able to repair even more shacks.

Funding Received

Today, February 2nd, I received a cheque for £600 from Martin Evans of Hemel Hemsted on behalf of The Triple Gem Buddhist Foundation. Nick Carroll of Amaravati Buddhist Society was instrumental in this coming about and my grateful thanks go to him and the The Triple Gem Buddhist Foundation.

More Funding Arrives

Today, 30th January, I received a cheque for £100 from Wendy Tomkins of Kings Heath, Birmingham. This was made up of all the pennies collected and donated by the children who Wendy had spoken to about the charity and the lives of the orphans who the charity help.
