An Unexpected Donation Of £400 Comes To One Life

Yesterday, April 17th, Barbara Burnett, the daughter of Lily Burnett of St Anne's church who has recently passed away, came to my home with cheques amounting to £400.

Funding Desperately Needed For Higher Education.

We desperately need funding for higher education for many of our young school leavers.

Like all youngsters our young people have dreams and ambitions but the reality is that they will never get the chance of college or university, no matter how able they are or how much they wish to further their education.

More News Of The Recent Shack Fire.

I heard today, March 20th, that the new shack, built with funding from One Life, for the grandmother and the seven children in her care whose shack burnt to the ground, has now been finished and any day now the grandmother and the children will leave Nancy's house to move into their new one.

Another Donation Gratefully Received

Today, March 2nd, I received the charity bank statement for last month, February.

As i looked down the statement I found a donation for £200 from Asian Associates, who I have never heard of. This came as a wonderful surprise but sadly I am unable to thank them as I have no means of knowing where they are based.

A Donation Of Bracelets

On February 19th whilst on a short break in Cornwall, I received a package of hand made bracelets, brooches and handbag fobs from Wendy Tomkins of Birmingham.

Wendy has made and sold many of her bracelets during the last few months and has raised a substantial amount of money for One Life.
